Selah Session II
Rose of Sharon
A vineyard daughter, a farmworker who sings in the fields, and a rock star who offers her everything.
Napa Valley, summer 1967. Rosa Benedetti, twenty years old and sunburned from the vines her brothers control, doesn't think she is anything special. Then Miguel Reyes, a farmworker and union volunteer, starts singing to her across the rows.
Her brothers forbid it. Their winery is broke and their pride is not. And when the family needs saving, Sol arrives from San Francisco: a rock star with a band called The Mighty Men, a sermon about free love, and a ring for every finger.
Across two summers, as strikes and deputies and a country coming apart close in around the vineyard, Rosa has to choose between the man who could give her everything and the love that many waters cannot quench.
