The Harp and the Crown
The fading King of the Barn Dance and the shepherd boy whose harmonica is the only thing that can calm him.
Every Saturday night the whole South tunes in to hear Roy Saul, the King of the Barn Dance. But the King is coming apart, and the rages are getting worse.
The only thing that calms him is a shepherd boy from the hills with a harmonica in his pocket. Davey Hollis can quiet the King's darkness with a single song. He can beat a giant fiddler with a single tune. And before long, the crowd is singing his name instead.
A king who can't let go, a son torn between his father and his best friend, and a boy who never asked to be crowned.
